Herb Garden Tour

To celebrate National Herb Week, Susanna of The Rosemary House will lead a faced paced tour of our herb gardens featuring over 300 varieties of herbs. Come discover herbs and their uses! This seeing, tasting, touching tour is designed for all ages and will conclude with everyone creating some Rose Bath Salts. Sample treats prepared by Nancy of Sweet Remembrances Tea room featuring roses and other fresh herbs. Served in the garden. No need to pre-register.

Mechanicsburg's ARTWALK

This town wide event features artists and wine tastings at participating businesses. We are featuring local artist jewelry artist Martha Smith. She lives with her husband and four children in Grantham and teaches at Messiah College. Two years ago Martha Smith started Silver and Stone Artisan Jewelry. Her statement artisan jewelry is crafted from mixed-metals, leather, semi-precious stones, pearls, antique buttons and dichroic glass. Each piece is hand made and one-of-a-kind. Presidential Tea Party & Program

Our First Ladies have always hosted elegant events at The White House, and George and Martha Washington were no exception. We are pleased to welcome George Washington to our lavish tea party where he will share stories about his presidential life. First person historical character interpreter Jeff Greenawalt has his B.A. in theater from Temple and enjoys fielding questions from the audience while in character. This special event marks the end of the 2012 campaigning and will not be repeated until 2016!
